Craft Kits You Must Try

I love my daily amazon scrolling sessions, as I am sure most of you do as well, looking for nothing but finding something. These somethings for me are always fun little crafting kits. I have found a good handful of these kits and I love to try them out. So today I thought it would be fun to share some of my favourites.

Crafting kits have been around for a long time and I have been using them since I was a kid. The few options that I have gathered today are all very beginner friendly which is exactly why I picked them. I find if you want to try a new craft, its best to try a kit that already has everything included rather than investing a lot in all the supplies you need just to find out, maybe, you don’t enjoy the craft as much as you thought you would. They are also great if you are feeling creatively blocked or if you just enjoy little projects that you can pick up without much thought. So let’s dive in!

Book Nooks

These have been all the rage on TikTok - especially BookTok. I am no stranger to a book nook I have made quite a few, all different difficulty levels and I think these are great for everyone! If you prefer a simple craft you should try ones like this Lord of the Rings inspired book nook. If you prefer a more in depth, detailed miniature build try this Harry Potter Diagon Alley book nook. Not only are these fun to do they make great decor for your shelves.

Miniature Doll houses

Similar to the book nooks, miniature doll house kits are bigger and more detailed crafts to take on. They come in a variety of styles, I am sure you would find one that suits your vibes. I personally enjoy doing the more magic, vintage aesthetic doll houses as those match my shelves perfectly. It can be a very fun couple days worth of piecing together all the furniture and decor and while they do have instructions on where to put everything, you can always style everything the way you want. Check out this if you prefer a more simple, clean design or this if you want a more vintage style check this miniature doll house out!

Soapstone Carving Kits

One day I was scrolling through Amazon just to see what was happening and I found these soapstone craving kits, instant buy. I had always wanted to try stone carving and this was a perfect kit for that! It includes a stone stamped in the general shape of an animal, a file, sandpaper, and wax. It gives you a guide to where you should shave down parts of the stone to get your finished product. It was a super fun and quick craft to do! I would definitely do it again and if this is something you have also been curious about, this is where you should start.

Embroidery Kits

My mom got me an embroidery kit for Christmas not knowing it was something I wanted to try out and it was a big win! They include an embroidery hoop, fabric with a design, and all the thread you need to finish your project. If you’ve never embroidered before but want to learn these are great. You can also find a bunch of videos, like this one, that can give you more detailed instructions on embroidery stitches.

Diamond Paintings

These became a HUGE hyper fixation during the lockdowns. My mom, sister and I would sit in the kitchen for hours doing diamond paintings. They are a fun and relaxing craft to do - especially if you enjoy a repetitive activity. The kits include the pens, glue, diamond tray and the diamonds and canvas. You can even get a custom diamond painting done like the one I got of my puppy, Rudy. If it becomes something you love, I would recommend getting a light board. They are great for seeing the numbers or symbols and making the process a little bit easier.

These are just a few of the craft kits I have tried out - the list is long. All these are ones I have personally tried and loved. I think these are great crafts and some of them I personally have invested a lot of time in doing outside of the kits. If you give any of these a try, I hope you will share them with me on my socials and if there is a topic or craft you want me to talk about next you can email me here.

Until next time, keep creating!

Rebecca
